Congratulations to one of our staff members: Kimberly A. Stumph, Low Vision Therapist/ AT Specialist

CONCORD - May 31, 2007 - At the spring convocation, University of Massachusetts Boston, Kimberly A. Stumph was the first student in the Orientation and Mobility program to receive the ICI: Vision Studies Award for Academic Excellence.

As a graduate student, Kim earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in the O&M Program in addition to working full-time at the NH Association for the Blind. From the O&M program she received an M.Ed. Stated in the convocation booklet, "Throughout the UMass Boston O&M Program, Kim has shown initiative, dedication, interest in research, and commitment to improving services to people who are blind or visually impaired. . . . We salute Kim's accomplishments and look forward to her further professional contributions."

Kim's other credentials are BA from Clark University, MS at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician, Certified Low Vision Therapist, Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist, Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist. Kim is on the Continuing Education Committee of the Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired - Northeast Chapter.
